WrestleZone Regal Rumble 2019 – Predicted Matches

WZ

We’re on the road to Aberdeen Anarchy folks, which also means the Regal Rumble is quickly approaching. Taking place on Saturday March 16th from Aberdeen’s Northern Hotel, the event will of course determine the main event for the April supershow. WrestleZone management have announced they’ll be starting to reveal the Regal Rumble participants tomorrow night, something I’m immensely excited for. Before we get to then, let’s do some predicting for the Regal Rumble 2019 card!

2019 Regal Rumble Match
Entrants – Alan Sterling, Andy Wild, Aspen Faith, Blue Thunder, Bradley Evans, Bryan Tucker, Caleb Valhalla, Chris Archer, Connor Inglis, Crusher Craib, Dino Del Monte, Grado, Jason Reed, Johnny Lions, Kaden Garrick, Lewis Girvan, Mikkey Vago, Mr P, Nathan North, Ryan Riley, Scotty Swift, Shawn Johnson, Ted O’Keefe, William Sterling, and Zach Dynamite

We know the Regal Rumble Match is happening – why would it not be? As mentioned, competitors will start to be unveiled tomorrow evening. As far as I’m aware, it hasn’t been confirmed if it’ll be a 20 man or a 25 man field this year. Seeing as last year’s was 25, let’s go with the latter option again. After counting up the people tagged in the poster that could be in the match, I believe I ended up with 22 possible entrants. Add in returns from Bryan Tucker and Nathan North as well as WrestleZone Training Academy trainee Connor Inglis, and we’ve got 25!

Damien, Shawn Johnson & Grado vs Zach Dynamite, Bradley Evans & Crusher Craib

The Regal Rumble typically features a multi-man tag team contest. Let’s go with a six man tag team match for this time around, featuring Damien, Shawn Johnson and Grado taking on Zach Dynamite, Bradley Evans and Crusher Craib. It seems like a match that would make sense. Damien and Shawn are set to face Zach and Bradley in Peterhead, while Crusher demands the best competition so send Grado in. It would make for an entertaining match for the Northern Hotel faithful, which is what every match should do.

#1 Contenders Match
Scotty Swift & Johnny Lions vs Blue Thunder & William Sterling

With Aberdeen Anarchy just around the corner, The Kings of Catch have two teams chasing their Tag Team Championships – Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions, and Blue Thunder and William Sterling. Throw both teams in a #1 contenders match to determine their challengers for April 13th. Simples.

Triple Threat Match for the WrestleZone Tri-Counties Championship
Mr P (c) vs Jason Reed vs Ryan Riley

The Tri-Counties Championship has provided some of my personal favourite WrestleZone matches over the last few months. This would be another one of those, with Mr P defending against Jason Reed and Ryan Riley. P’s the champion, Reed’s on a mission to Make WrestleZone Great Again, and Riley’s had a career setback after not being chosen to face PAC. Have him go for gold here and show everyone what losing seven stone can do to you!

The Outfit (Dino Del Monte & Ted O’Keefe) vs The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago)

The rivalry between The Outfit and The Rejected has been raging on recently. A tag match was scheduled for the pre-show in Montrose but after some changes to the card, that match never came to be. So, put it on here. The Regal Rumble marks one year since Dino and Ted debuted in WrestleZone, and another victory over former four-time Tag Team Champions would be a hell of a way to celebrate.

Pre-Show
Kaden Garrick vs Caleb Valhalla

Pre-shows usually give way to WrestleZone Training Academy graduates to get them on the card. Kaden Garrick and Caleb Valhalla sound like they could put on a great match together – a battle between two hosses from the Academy. I’d watch it, and so should you.

So, what matches would you like to see at the Regal Rumble? Tickets for the show are available from http://www.ringsideworld.co.uk, priced £15 for VIP, £12 for adults, and £10 for under 14s. Fans can also pay at the door on the night. Doors open at 6pm for VIP ticket holders and 6:30pm for general admission, with the main show kicking off at 7pm!
