Following the recent information regarding the #SpeakingOut movement, we are taking steps to remove content from the Scottish Wrestling Network website that was focused on the accused parties.
We have removed spotlights, articles and interviews involving any wrestler accused in the #SpeakingOut movement. Some may return if accusations are unfounded or revealed to be false but for the time being they will be inaccessible until further notice.
We have removed Insane Championship Wrestling, Premier British Wrestling and Scottish Wrestling Entertainment from our content, we will not be featuring them on the website until further notice.
We request any wrestler wishing to remove companies, affliations, or any other information from their Wrestler Spotlight entries, or interviews, to contact us as soon as possible.
If you have any queries or requests please complete the contact form below:
We will continue to monitor the situation and remove any further promotions or wrestlers as we see fit.
Thank you for your patience. At this stage the reviews and previews posted, along with lists and awards, will remain unedited so please be aware that we do not support the actions from the parties mentioned and the content written was before their actions were revealed.
Our aim remains to support the Scottish wrestling scene which we will continue to do so during this difficult time.
We look forward to the improved practices in safeguarding and care for wrestlers, staff, crew, and fans that we hope will come from this movement. We here at SWN thank those that have bravely spoke out and to those making changes possible.
29/8/21 – I have made the decision to add Insane Championship Wrestling back onto the SWN website on a results trial basis until further notice. This means we will only carry results and will not post news, match announcements, previews, and reviews until the trial has passed.
We will only carry results from the WWE Network shows and live shows from late-2020 onwards during this trial process. If they pass the trial period the old articles will be re-added and archived so that they can be accessed.
This is not a decision that has been taken lightly and I will pull the trial if there is cause to do so.
