12. New Year, New Outfit

Kicking off the biggest moments for 2022 in WrestleZone is the reshuffling and reinventing of a tag team. Dino Del Monte and Ted O’Keefe formed The Outfit in 2018. They were close but no cigar on several occasions to pick up the WrestleZone Tag Team Championships. When Dino returned post-pandemic in January he was out to cause chaos who, along with Ted, tore the Best Western in Summerhill apart in a brawl with Scotty Swift and Umar Mohammed. Using his Roaring Elbow to great effect.

Heading into Ellon, Dino had all but dropped the Del Monte and was stepping into the ring with Undisputed WrestleZone Champion Damien. Damien was able to pick up a quick roll up to win but that wasn’t the end of the night. Dino continued the attack on Damien only for Scotty Swift to make the save, but he was followed by Mauler Murphy who proceeded to Samoan Drop and splash Swift from the turnbuckle.

Murphy had been in a bit of limbo, a big guy with no real direction but by dropping the Mauler, and joining The Outfit, he was instantly rejuvenated, and this towering duo manhandled opponents.

It wasn’t long before they caught the attention of William Sterling, who formed an alliance with the team, along with his brother Captain Alan Sterling.
